March 20th may have been a fairly gloomy day but according to meteorologists it heralded the first day of spring. Given the length of time the spring bulbs have already been in flower it would be easy to think that spring has already been around for some time; but now that is has officially arrived it’s time to look forward to ever warmer days and longer evenings.

For many, the first day of spring also heralds the start of the annual ritual of spring cleaning. Windows will be polished and cupboards eviscerated in honour of an annual ritual which goes back to time immemorial. But as we clean our homes, we shouldn’t neglect the importance of taking a fresh look at our investments.

Of course we don’t have to wait until the first day of spring to do this, but best practice investment advice is that investments are reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that they still meet our current and future anticipated needs.
