Making Choices

The gloomy summer weather has boosted visitor numbers to Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum. July 2015 saw 22,048 visitors pour through the RAMM doorway bringing the museum the second highest visitor numbers on record and August looked set to eclipse that total. A spokesman for the city council admitted that visitor numbers increased in wet weather but added that “Whatever the weather, RAMM is a great place to visit.”

This is a perfect illustration of the way in which we make choices throughout our lives. When we’re on holiday we may choose the beach or the moors, culture or entertainment; with our choices being influenced by our personal preferences, our finances, and what we aim to get out of the holiday. In a similar way when we make investment decisions they are influenced by personal preference, current finances and anticipated future needs.
